MADKIM Mining Co. was founded in 1984 by two young mining engineers who stepped boldly into the Turkey's burgeoning mining industry, the hub of MENA and the Balkans, ranking 10th in global mineral diversity and possessing a 2.2% share in global industrial raw material reserves.

From 1984 to 2014 MADKIM accomplished numerous mining projects as subcontractor to leading Turkish companies such as Demir Export/Koç Holding (iron ore, 2004-2012) and Akçansa/Heidelberg-Sabancı (aggregate, 1998-2006). During this time it built up a well deserved reputation, and with the acquisition of a renown magnesite field/quarry initiated in 1988, began to export raw magnesite to top magnesia producers & exporters in Greece and the Balkans. MADKIM exports of lump and milled raw magnesite continue to date with its prominent European partners.

In 2004, cooperations began between MADKIM and leading Sepiolite producer TOLSA S.A, who then successfully entered the Turkish mining sector with its guidance. MADKIM continues to own sepiolite mines in the Eskişehir region and routinely provides various grades of sepiolite to both foreign and domestic markets.

MADKIM furthered developments in 2006 with a chrome concentrate facility, entering into the challenging world of concentrate and lumpy chrome production, supplying high quality chrome concentrate to the most exigent buyers in Europe & China, including Glencore, Traxys and Elecktrowerk. 

Today MADKIM continues its trajectory of dedication and hard work in the industry as the experience of its founders is passed on and adapted for the next generation. In addition to its core conventional extracting/milling objectives, MADKIM is now incorporating the sourcing and trading of various additional industrial minerals.
